Episode 7 - Decision Making - Part 1
This week we’re diving into something my clients ask about all the time: decision making. Because this is such a big topic I’ve spread it out over two episodes.
In this episode, I’ll explain how your smart mind actually makes it extra HARD for you to make decisions.
I’ll show you all the smart ways in which it tries to block you from making decisions - and how to fix that.
And in the next episode I’ll tell you how to make sure whether you made the right decision, and teach how to get better at decision-making.
Episode 6 - Gifted Guilt
In this Episode I talk about something that plagues most humans with smart minds, whether they realise it or not: Gifted Guilt.
The idea that because you have been gifted this amazing brain, all these talents, you better go and do something insanely useful.
This line of thought, however noble it may sound, leads to a miserable life.
Stop buying into it, and rather than feel guilty, ask yourself what you WANT to do with this one, wild, precious life.
Episode 5 - Doing Hard Things
In this episode I talk about how smart people can stay in their comfort zone even though on the outside it looks like they’re achieving amazing growth.
When everyone gives you a standing ovation if you’re just ‘winging it’ it can become a habit to do just that, score a quick dopamine hit, move on to the next thing.
In the long run this sets you up for massive disillusion, because you never get to experience real growth.
You have to start doing things that are hard for YOU - and they may look very different than you think.
Episode 4 - Getting Bored Easily
Smart people often get accused of doing too many things, not 'sticking with it', lacking follow through.
But is that really too? Or is their brain just bored quickly?
In this Episode, I dive into the boredom, and why it may actually be a good things.
Could getting be bored quickly be one of your greatest assets?
Find out in this week's episode!
Episode 3 - People Pleasing
In this episode I look at something that undermines your self-confidence on a daily-basis: people pleasing.
I give examples of how and where it can show up, and how you stop doing it.
No, it's not easy - but trust me: living your life out of integrity is much, much harder in the long run.
Episode 2 - If you’re so smart, why is life still hard?
In this episode I look at one of the biggest reasons why being smart isn't a guarantee for an easy, incredibly successful, incredibly instagrammable life.
Spoiler alert: your brain, smart though it may be, is incredibly outdated hardware that runs programming more suitable for times with tigers.
So it's time to give it an update - I'll explain how in this episode.
Episode 1 - What does ‘smart’ even mean?
In this episode I dive into the definition of intellectual giftedness.
What do people with smart minds have in common?
What four main characteristics do they share?
Hint: they have fast brains, get bored easily and have strong values.
If this is you: check out this episode.
If you work with people like this: check out this episode.
It will help look at smart minds more objectively, so we can stop smart-shaming and allow smart humans to fully show up as themselves.
